Bosnia and Herzegovina Launches Front Office Web Application for Electronic IP Filings

On 22 September 2026, the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina rolled out its Front Office web application, modernising the country's IP infrastructure. This centralised portal allows users to prepare, sign, submit, and continuously monitor various IP requests online.

The system streamlines filing management from draft to final execution. It covers national patent applications, European patent applications, European patent validations, and subsequent industrial property proceedings. By unifying multi-stage legal tracking within a secure environment, the platform removes physical administrative constraints and improves evaluation lifecycle transparency.

To guarantee transaction integrity, users must authenticate requests using a valid qualified electronic signature. Natural persons must hold an individual signature, while corporate users can access the portal through an authorised representative holding a valid certificate.

Complete onboarding details, registration guidelines, and technical updates are available on the official ipr.gov.ba portal.
