Qatar Joins the Nice Agreement
On 10 November 2025, Qatar deposited its instrument of accession to the Nice Agreement, the international treaty that standardises the classification of goods and services for trade mark registration. The Agreement will enter into force for Qatar on 10 February 2026.
This step aligns Qatar’s trade mark system with the globally recognised Nice Classification, simplifying multi jurisdictional filings and reinforcing its integration into the international intellectual property framework.
