In July 2025, the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (the Office) rolled out important digital infrastructure changes. The two key new digital services include:

• Online Publication of the Official Gazette: Trade mark announcements, previously available only in print, will now be accessible online, enhancing transparency and accessibility for applicants and rights holders.
• Electronic Registration Certificates: The issuance of trade mark registration certificates is shifting to a digital format, allowing for more efficient processing and faster delivery.

As expected, certain changes will be gradual, and we anticipate that older certificates will continue to be issued in hard copy format.
