Oman Simplifies Domain Registration for Foreign Companies
On 11 December 2025, Oman’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced revised rules that simplify domain registration for foreign companies. Under the new framework, businesses can register .om, .com.om, and .co.om domains without a trade mark certificate or an exact match with their company name.
Applicants are only required to provide a scanned copy of their commercial registration or equivalent documentation.
The reform is expected to ease market entry for international firms in Oman.
