Oleh develops and implements enforcement strategies related to software copyright, trademark, design and plant variety rights in Ukraine and other countries in the EECA region. He has extensive experience in performing online and field investigations, gathering evidence, negotiating with infringers, initiating legal proceedings and representing clients before courts, customs and other law enforcement authorities.
Before joining our firm in 2018, Oleh worked for several years at other law firms in Ukraine representing world’s leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and information technology (IT) companies in criminal, civil, and commercial proceedings related to the enforcement of copyrights, trademarks and plant variety rights.
Oleh also worked as an investigator and prosecuting attorney at several district prosecutor’s offices where he handled pre-trial investigations related to criminal offenses committed by state authorities such as abuse of power and corrupt practices. As a prosecuting attorney, he supervised investigators, provided procedural guidance in pre-trial investigations and developed and implemented investigative strategies. He also supervised the observance of land law by the local government and regulatory authorities.

Coordinated an anti-piracy campaign on behalf of the world’s leading software manufacturer, which included monitoring public tenders and customers across Ukraine with the aim of preventing copyright infringement and software piracy in the public sector and organizing trainings for state customers on how to avoid unlicensed software

Assisted the world’s leading FMCG and IT companies with contentious and non-contentious legal work related to the acquisition and protection of copyrights and trademark rights

Organized trap purchases, collection of evidence, online and offline investigations and initiated civil, commercial and criminal proceedings against infringers
