
Igor Alfiorov

Igor manages a wide range of non-contentious and contentious IP work in Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and other countries of the EECA region. He advises clients on all aspects of IP law, particularly on IP rights clearance, prosecution and enforcement, while developing effective strategies and offering comprehensive risk assessments. Igor also handles out-of-court dispute settlements and is well versed in domain name dispute resolution. He also counsels clients on advertising, media and other regulatory issues.
Igor helped establish our Azerbaijan office where he handles various managerial tasks as well as prosecution and enforcement of IP rights.
Prior to joining our firm in 2018, Igor worked at an IP law firm in Kyiv, Ukraine for six years, where he focused mostly on IP rights enforcement and domain name prosecution.
In 2024, Igor was recognized as the INTA Rising Star for his outstanding commitment and expertise in the IP field as well as his dedication to INTA committee work, including his service on the Legislation and Regulation Committee and his role as the co-chair of the INTA Europe Global Advisory Council (EGAC) for 2024-2025.

Advised a leading energy drink company on the effective enforcement of IP rights in Ukraine and other EECA countries, including well-known status recognition

Assisted the world’s leading telecommunication and mobile operator company on various contentious and non-contentious trademark issues in Ukraine, including prosecution, opposition procedures and IP rights enforcement

Assisted a leading global hygiene and health company with complex, contentious matters in Ukraine, Azerbaijan and other countries of the region

Advises and represented clients in domain name disputes before relevant bodies, including the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center; served as an arbiter in disputes under the UA-DRP, the Ukrainian variation of the UDRP

Authored and co-author various IP-related country guides published by INTA and Wolters Kluwer
