EAPO Joins the Hague System

On 10 July 2026, the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) deposited its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement, with the treaty entering into force for EAPO on 10 October 2026.

This accession enables rights holders to secure industrial design protection across eight EAPO member states through a single centralized application administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization.

The Eurasian Patent Organization is the regional intergovernmental organization responsible for administering the Eurasian patent system. It provides centralized procedures for obtaining and managing intellectual property rights across its member states: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
