Umida handles prosecution and enforcement of IP rights before administrative bodies and customs authorities in Uzbekistan and other countries in Central Asia. She handles contentious matters, drafts court actions, prepares legal opinions, and advises clients on all aspects of IP protection.

Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Umida worked as a legal assistant in a Tashkent law firm. She had previously interned at the Uzbek Guild of Authors and Performers and a Chinese law firm in Beijing.

  • Handled multiple trademark enforcement cases on behalf of a multinational consumer goods company against local infringers, before the Antimonopoly Committee of Uzbekistan, commercial and administrative courts, IPO, and the Agency for Consumer Protection

  • Advised a leading confectionery manufacturer in multiple cases against lookalikes in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan
