Sara Omran
- Head of Anti-Counterfeiting and Government Affairs
Sara actively pursues infringements of our clients’ IP rights by working with local and regional customs and government authorities to help gather intelligence, support raids, file customs complaints and assist with border enforcement measures. Sara leads our investigation team which has developed close relationships with the Dubai Police, Department of Economic Development, Customs, and the Public Prosecutor enabling us to coordinate actions before multiple enforcement authorities throughout the MENA region.
Sara also works in synchronicity with our litigation team to build a solid foundation of evidence to initiate infringement proceedings before the courts. Given that many of our multinational clients operate in the online and tech spaces, Sara is routinely involved in taking down online infringements as well.
Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Sara worked in the fields of public relations and journalism, and as a project specialist for Save the Children International.
