Monica’s practice focuses on clearance and prosecution of patents before the Romanian IPO. Her responsibilities include preparing, filing and prosecuting national and international patent and utility model applications, including PCT national phase applications, as well as validating European patents in Romania. Monica handles patent searches, validity and freedom to operate opinions, supplementary protection certificates and recordations.
Prior to joining our firm in 2021, Monica worked as an IP attorney at another Romanian IP firm where she primarily handled trademark prosecution and enforcement. Before that, she worked for nine years as a senior patent attorney in a leading Romanian law firm, where she was involved in all aspects of patent work. Monica has over 18 years of experience in the patent field, with a focus on chemical and pharmaceutical patents.
