
Anamarija Stančić Petrović
- Head of EECA IP
Anamarija leads the IP practice in CWB offices in the EECA region. Currently based in Brussels, Anamarija also maintains close contact with the EU institutions, INTA EU office, and handles filings and related issues before the Benelux IP Office and other local authorities.
Anamarija’s specialization in IP and medicine is particularly advantageous when handling patent and trademark-related matters in the pharmaceutical sector, such as trade secrets and confidential information, supplementary protection certificates, data exclusivity (including issues on biosimilars), compulsory licensing, market authorizations for medicines and medical devices, and plant variety rights.
Anamarija was the head of PETOŠEVIĆ Croatia office for 13 years, until 2017. As a long-time member of the firm’s operations department and the management board, she organized and led various IP trainings and capacity building projects aimed at strengthening the teams and practice in Bosnia, Macedonia and other offices in the region. With over 25 years of IP-related experience, Anamarija has successfully prosecuted and enforced all types of IP rights, developed global IP strategies for leading brand owners, provided legal advice, handled pre-litigation tasks and combated counterfeiting.

Successfully assisted a Swedish global hygiene and health company with trademark matters before the EUIPO and Benelux IPO; provided strategic advice on trademark infringement cases, ensuring strong protection across Eastern Europe, and facilitated compliance with EU and Benelux trademark regulations for seamless registration and enforcement

Advised one of the world’s largest manufacturers of central processing units and semiconductors on trademark infringement matters in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including potential civil injunction proceedings as well as criminal and administrative complaints before local authorities

Provided assistance to the world’s leading pharmaceutical company on contentious and non-contentious trademark matters in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including trademark prosecution, opposition, litigation, and marketing clearance work
